Chagga people is among of 120 ethnic groups found in Kilimanjaro region Tanzania, and they are like other communities found in East Africa. The main activities of these people are livestock keepers, agriculturists and also they are very exceptional in business practices. Chagga ethnic group cultivate main crops like bananas, coffee, yams, finger millet, maize, beans and fruits. They keep livestock such as cows, goats and sheeps. They are very rich in tradition, culture and they are hard workers. Most of the Chagga people nowadays, majority are Christians and Muslims. They have their unique local brew called [mbege] and a very important plant called [masale]. This is very important symbol of Wachagga for Tradition and customs.
